Getting started with Pixrat

Create your Pixrat account

To get the maximum out of Pixrat first create yourself a Pixrat account. It is free!

Install the Pixrat bookmarklet

Drag and drop the following button

to the bookmarks/links toolbar of your browser

IE users can alternatively right click on the above button and select "Add to Favorites"

While installing the bookmarklet on IE you might get the following message

Just click on the "Yes" button

Collect, Organize and Share

While you are browsing the web if you come across something that you want to bookmark just click on the Submitbutton

Browsing

This will take you to Pixrat which will show the images on the page. You can then bookmark them into Albums by either creating a new album or selecting from one which you have already created. You can also add tags to your bookmark and can make it private(if you don't want others to see it).

You can add notes to bookmarks for your reference. Your notes are visible only to you.

Share your bookmarks on your websites or blogs using Pixrat Badge.
To get the badge click on the Get Badge! link on any Pixrat page with a bookmark collection

Then click on the Get html code for this badge for your website link to get the html source code for the badge.

Copy & Paste this code at the appropriate location of the html code of your website or blog template pages to get a nice little slideshow of your Pixrat bookmark collection running on your site.

Discover and Discuss

You can browse through the various collection of shared bookmarks on Pixrat and discover what is of interest to your fellow Pixraters.
You can also add comments and discuss the bookmarks.
